I'm not going to lie and say that it's not 1am and I'm wondering about my life.
I've been watching YouTube for about 3 and a half years now and I've often found myself asking whether I should/could upload videos. Although I'm a very internet active teenager, the world wide web does scare me. I, like everyone else, has an inner fear of being judged and I don't know why because surely YouTube is something that you should do out of enjoyment, not to get comments and likes.
New Years Resolutions are something that a lot of people set, but not a lot of people actually achieve. Tomorrow, I'm going to write realistic resolutions for 2015 and I know for sure, that one of them will be to start making youtube videos - though it might not be until my next birthday in October. Don't get me wrong, I'm not making any promises but I will try.
Sorry for a short post. (and not posting in ages. Oops)
What new years resolutions have you set yourself?

Norwich Haul (Mostly Inspired by VelvetGh0st)
So on Tuesday 19th of August, I went to Norwich so naturally I went into Chapelfield Shopping Centre and hit the shops. I went to Boots, Superdrug, The Perfume Shop and Next. Here is what I bought:
My first little section of this post is make up. I picked up two nail polishes. The first polish I bought is 'Peace and Mauve' from Bourjois' So Laque Glossy collection. I'm wearing this one at the moment and it's a very interesting shade. It's like a nude pastel; very pale but also very natural. I love the gel formula but this one did take 3 coats. 'Peace and Mauve' was £5.99 from Superdug. This purchase was inspired by Youtuber Gabby/Velvetgh0st (my favourite atm - so a lot of my purchases were of her recommendation!)
The second polish I picked up was also of a gel formula - another Barry M Gelly! I'm obsessed with these polishes and I now have an embarrassingly large collection but I had to pick up this bright barbie pink, again, because Gabby convinced me to! This polish, named 'Pink Punch' was £3.99 from Superdug and these usually take 2 coats but you could get away with one.
The next two products are for my lips. The first being my 4th Tanya Burr lip gloss in 'Let's Travel The World' - a beautiful orange-red that is good for people like me who are too scared to wear a red lipstick but want something eye-catching. This lip gloss was £6.99 from Superdrug, and with high pigmentation, one of my firm favourites.

My next lip product is the Nivea Natural lip balm in the 'Milk and Honey' flavour. I know this is a theme, but I bought this because of Gabby! I'm a bit of a lip balm hoarder, but I've found this to be at the top of my list as it has the natural properties of the Body Shop lip butters that I love, but in stick form so is easier and cleaner to use. I wasn't sure of the scent at first but it's growing on me as a light, natural scent. This was £1.99 from Boots.
Before I get into my review of the next two products - I'll say that, once more, these were both inspired by Gabby - that naughty girl making me buy things!
The first buy is a Tangle Teezer. I would never have bought one of these as I wasn't convinced that they would work properly, especially on my thick hair but oh. my. god. I love this thing! It glides through my hair, brushing it without pulling. Also, these brushes are supposed to prevent split ends. This was £10.99 from Boots - a little pricey for a hairbrush if you ask me, but definitely worth it!
My next buy was another that I would never even consider buying unless Gabby had told me how good it was! The Garnier Ultimate Blends Sleek Perfecter Oil is a wonderful product. The coconut oil in it gives your hair wonderful scent and makes it so , well, sleek! I run this through my hair about 10 minutes after I get out of the shower and leave my hair to dry fully. I got this treasure for £4.97 from Superdrug but I know this wasn't the full price. It is £9.99 on the Boots website so go to Superdrug for this one!
This is Katy Perry's new perfume - Royal Revolution. I'm a huge fan of Katy's perfumes Killer Queen and Oh So Sheer so I had to give this one a sniff when I saw it in the shop. Of course, I loved it so I bought it. This was the first perfume I have ever bought for myself so this one will always be special for me. The Perfume Shop say this on their website:
Heart notes
Sandalwood, Orange Flower, Jasmine PetalsTop notes
Pink Freesia, PomegranateBase notes
Black Thorn, Skin Musk, Vanilla Orchid
I love this fragrance and I also got a free gold and black tote bag with my purchase as I bought the 50ml bottle. This was £28.99.
My final purchase is an Autumnal mug from Next. I love Autumn so whenever I see something like this, I have to get it. This cute little mug has a hedgehog in orange leaves on either side and the words "Just rustling around" on the inside for you to read as you drink. Perfect for hot chocolate, coffee or tea, this adorable gift is a bargain at just £3.
So that is all I bought from my little trip to Norwich.
I'm lucky enough to be in Spain next week, but this means I don't know if I will be able to get a blog post up, but hopefully I will - it all depends on the internet. Though there will definitely be a post the week after!

Six Summer Shades
I am a massive fan of nail polish and my collection is getting bigger and bigger every season. As it is still summer (not for long though), I've decided to show you my favourite Summer nail polish colours.
![]() |
| My Summer Picks |
In the first picture are six colours that I have been loving on my nails in the last few summer months.
Starting on the left is one of the much-loved Gelly Hi-Shines from Barry M. Barry M is a favourite for me, explaining why there are three in this picture. The shade of Gelly I have picked is called 'Kiwi'. Kiwi is a mid-green that I love for it's brightness but also it's subtlety. The Gelly formula is thick and shiny, meaning you could get away with one coat. Gelly nail polishes retail for £3.99.

Next along is my only nail polish from Topshop in my entire collection. This polish was a gift from my sister many years ago but I have rediscovered this perfect shade named 'Art School'. It is a very natural coral that I love for pairing with pretty much any colour clothing. The spotty lid also makes it look adorable in your colection or just as something extra to put on your dressing table. The polish retails for £5.
The next colour is definitely a summer colour! This bright yellow from Rimmel London is called 'Cute as a Kitten Heel' and is about as sunshine as a nail polish can get. Great for adding a pop of colour. This polish retails for £3.69.
My next pick is actually a limited edition shade for summer - so snatch it up fast! 'Bikini' was released as a special for Boots from Barry M along with one other. Two other colours were limited edition for superdrug. 'Bikini' is the sort of colour that you may think is blue but your friend may think is purple. Though a gorgeous, unique shade none-the-less! This retails for £2.99.
My next colour is hidden treasure as far as I'm concerned. 'Coral' by Barry M is one that I think gets lost among the other colours on the stand but when looked at in it's own glory is a beautiful shade. It;s the perfect blend of red, orange and pink making a stand-out colour for your nails. This gem retails for £2.99. What a steal!
My final colour is another gel formula, this time from Bourjois. I have 2 nail polishes of this type but after hearing Lily Pebbles ( www.lilypebbles.co.uk ) rave about them, I want more and more. This shade is called 'Blue no blues'. Being one of Lily's firm favourites I was very happy to own this bright and captivating aqua. Another stand-out shade. This one is a bit more expensive than the others at £5.99 but definitely worth it due to its shiny, thick look and angled brush making it easy to apply.
So they are my summer favourites - what are yours?
See you next Thursday.

Returns and Promises
So........
This is awkward.
I know I said that I'd be back "after the cold" but it's now August so oops.
Sorry 'bout that.
Oh well. I'm back now and I really want to make an effort to keep up with my blog, so I'm promising a blog post every Thursday hopefully but I'll see how that fits in with my schedule when I go back to school in September.
I'm also hoping to include my own pictures now as my bedroom has been redecorated so I now have a better background for photos - woo!
I really hope I can make my blog better and more my own as I post more and more.
See you next Thursday x

After the cold
I know I promised 2 posts a week,
though it seems we may have to tweak,
as there will be so much to do,
i don't wish to disappoint you.
My promises, I take back,
with regret i'll add to that.
There will be no reads,
for your eyes to see.
I apologise,
though I hope you'll see things through my eyes,
as the festive time comes,
I have so much to get done.
So blogging has been put on hold,
though don't worry, I'll be back after the cold.

November Blues
So, today is November 1st. Yep. There's only two more months left in 2013. That's just scary if you ask me. I just realised that could be taken as a pun as it was Halloween yesterday. I was a cat in case you were wondering. Meow.
November is a month in which not much happens, but the outside world takes the eleventh month as a time for change. In October, the leaves change colour but in November they take the final step of their change. They go for it. They fall to the ground to make space for new leaves next year. They are what tells us that a new year is coming, and new opportunities are just around the corner.
So don't think of November as the boring month in between Halloween and Christmas, think of it as a time of significance that change is happening. Not a bad change, a good change. Read this poem:
Now a poem written by yours truly;
November rain is falling,
Leaves come dancing down.
The sound of wind is calling,
the people in the town.
The people wearing scarves and coats,
preparing for the cold.
In puddles, all leaves sit and float,
They do just as they're told.
Told by the skies,
Seasons come around.
Where the woodland animals lie,
is on the cold, leaf covered ground.
The first two months fly by,
September and October.
But the hope that never dies,
is in the blessed November.
*
I hope you lovely people have a great November.
Love, G x

Halloween
With the next holiday being Halloween, a friend suggested that I write a blog post about it.
So, Halloween is a (unfortunately) forgotten holiday in the UK. Personally, I love it. Even though most people my age don't do much about Halloween, I go trick-or-treating with my best friend every year with her friends and family. Last year, we wear dead ballerinas and this year we are girly zombies.
What my point is, is that Halloween costumes don't just consist of witches, ghosts and devils. Be creative! If you want to go trick-or-treating but don't want to wear that dodgy with outfit you got 2 years ago, you may want to have a click at Bethany Mota (MacBarbie07) 's YouTube Channel.
I have already expressed my love for all things YouTube in my previous blog post: http://georgiev123.blogspot.co.uk/2013/09/youtube.html ...
...but Bethany is by far the best at creating cool and girly Halloween outfits with her SpookBook series that she does every year. Today, she posted this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QkPaUP2iSQM
Bethany as a Minion
She has done:
-Tim Burton's Queen of Hearts
- Wonder Woman
- Despicable Me Minion
- Little Red Riding Hood
- Carly Rae Jepson, Call Me Maybe
- Dorothy (Wizard of Oz)
- Mad Hatter
- Nerd
- Disney Princess Make Up (Cinderella, Snow White and Belle)
- Nicki Minaj Make up and hair
- Minnie Mouse
- Strawberry Shortcake
- Vampire
So if any of those take your fancy, click here:http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQoFEICeWXX1QjV_8SKIjfzqJPvq2JSLD to view her SPOOKBOOK series.
Thank you for reading, and I hope you find inspiration from Bethany's DIY Halloween Outfits.
Thanks,
Gx
